It’s summertime which means the season’s scorching sun is beaming down on your skin. Summer calls for a special attention to your skin. Skin takes a toll because of the harsh and scorching heat. But there is always a way out. Taking adequate and appropriate care of skin will definitely help you look flawless. Do a little extra in summers!

Eat right:

  •  For flawless and healthy skin in summer, drinking absolute amount of water is a must. Six to eight     glasses of water is recommended which flushes out toxins.
  • Too much eating of junk food should be avoided. It not only creates deficiency of nutrients but also leads to toxins in the body.
  •  Food rich in vitamin and minerals should be always in the regular diet.
  • Sodas, aerated drinks and packaged juices should be avoided. Instead they should be replaced by natural substitutes like coconut water, refrigerated green tea etc.

Avoid

  •  Though heat cause irritation avoid touching your face. It will increase irritation and make it worse.
  •  Avoid direct sunlight rather spend most of the time in shade.

  • Since going out exposes your skin to lot of pollution, heat, dust and many more. Always keep your bag handy with all essentials like moisturizers, hand sanitizer, cleanser, lip balm, and the most important is the sunscreen.

Home Remedies:

Here are a few easy remedies to help you take care of your skin –

  •  Apply banana, coconut milk and honey as it moisturises your face. It prevents wrinkles and dark circles.
  •  Apply a mixture of a pinch of camphor and a few drops of vitamin E oil to rose water. It acts as the best toner. Toning is important for soft nourished skin.
  •  Mix a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of lemon juice and apply on your face. Rinse well after a few minutes for quick glow.
  •  Mix Aloe Vera gel with honey and apply it for a fresher look.
  •  Take some ice in a muslin cloth and rub it over your face for 30 minutes before heading out for party.
