People all over the country celebrate these 4-5 days with great enthusiasm. It is celebrated to see power overruling the evil. Goddess Durga is one of the most powerful Gods and believed to have killed an evil due to which all Indians every year welcomes her and gives her respect for being the best symbol of power.
The puja is generally done for 5 days-
- Shashti as in the 6th day.
- Saptami as in the 7th day.
- Ashtami as in the 8th day.
- Navami as in the 9th day.
- Dussehra as in the 10th day.
Everyone provides prayer to the Goddess by wearing beautiful new clothes to make themselves look beautiful. Then pandal hopping is done from one place to another to see how spell-bounding the Goddess’s Idol has been decorated.
Some of the best feeling of Durga puja are the mouth watering food. From the pure sweets made from milk and clarified butter. The jalebis which are the showstopper during Durga Puja. The devotees after offering prayers like to gorge on these sweets and many other foods.
The entire country smells of incense and looks like a land of colors splashed all around . These days are worth am experience because you get to have the days of entire joy and bliss.
