New Record with Sixty sit ups in 57 seconds on a moving bike.
Siddhartha Sankar Saikia a resident of Rangdoi in the Bahona area of North East Jorhat claimed of a new record with 60 sit ups in 57 seconds on a bike moving more than 60 km per hour on the Jorhat Neemati road of Jorhat on Sunday.
” there are no such earlier records of this feat ” said Siddhartha Sankar Saikia after completing his feat .
On Sunday in the presence of Prasanta Bora, the chief witness of the event, Mridul Bhuiyan , chief technical director of the event, two Notary officials Uttam Bora and Indrani Chetia and several thousand people who had lined up along the two sides of the road cheering along as Siddhartha performed 60 sit ups in 57 seconds on a bike moving more than 60 km per hour
Prasanta Bora, who is also the general secretary of the Body Building Association of North East India, verified the abdominal exercise ( sit ups ) confirming that all the 60 sit ups were correct .
” the Evidences, Video recordings and reports of the feat will be sent for Claims of the record to ASSIST world record, India book of records and ASIA book of records and it is for them to decide whether my feat was successful enough to make the new record” said Siddhartha.
Siddhartha Sankar Saikia before his one minute event also performed yoga postures and Kung Fu postures on a moving bike on the Jorhat Neemati road on Sunday to spread the message of yoga among the youths through which Physical , mental , spiritual development can be attained.
Siddhartha is the chief trainer of Manchuria Kung Fu Academy in Jorhat he also imparts training in Kick Boxing and is a Judge and referee of Kick Boxing events at the National level.
